Teaching & Drum Clinics

Carl's Drum Clinic

Carl's Drum Clinic

I still enjoy teaching & mentoring drummers. Whether young or old, new player or well seasoned performer, I love to encourage a drummer to grow in their musical skill. You can contact me through this web site by email, my home office phone, or by sending me a note at Facebook or other social media. It can take a while to schedule something according to my session & tour schedules, but don’t hesitate to let me know if you want a private lesson in Nashville, on the road at an event, or even a Skype or iChat hook up over the internet. Modern technology is amazing, isn’t it? You can also organize a drum clinic, or band clinic with your whole team – I would be honored to come to your town in person to do a teaching day.

*Leann & I are also doing full weekend training events with church teams and other performing groups… Let me know how we can be of service. You don’t have to wait for a large regional or national conference to book a special event for your church or team. http://leannalbrecht.com/2011/09/team-training/

great article carl….Hey i am big on teaching learning understanding making others get what i didn’t get while growing up i drumming….I too need a lot of mentoring with worship styles ….Our style is soca, calypso, bossavova, and a few ballads like israel, Wlliam mc Dowel- i Give myself away….Only recently we been coming off to the Hillsong Music…
I see the need to certify myself to help drummers across the globe understand what worship is and their roles in a service setting…If i might say this Jesus Requires true worshippers and individual set on His agenda…i find most services most drummers don’t know how and isn’t familiar with allowing the Holy Spirit to lead them and stop experimenting with beats and fills and jus be still …..
there is so much i want to learn but time monies etc are key factors for now….
i do hope one day we can sit and just talk…. I see myself one day playing on TBN my drums and creating that worshipful environment …huh its a dream ….
Carl may God bless the work of your hands and if this is Gods purpose for us to meet it will happen….doh wann move before God…man continue to send more clips of your tours and stuff….take care carl…

    • Thanks for your note Rennie. Yes, it’s our first calling to be worshippers & to play music from our hearts and flow with the Spirit in worship. Everything else flows from that. // As we grow in our gifts & callings we become better at expressing what is also growing in our hearts… it is a journey, and a life of being faithful to the things the Lord has given us. // No matter where we play, it is always about His presence manifesting in the midst of His people. Whether we play in a small home group, a church, a large festival, or on television or recordings the thing to remember is that God is present in all of it, and that we are called to help people to worship Him no matter where we are. Blessings as you continue to serve Him. Peace, Carl
