  2. John Odom says:

    Hey Carl,

Just want to tell you how much I am enjoying the Drum Groove for Worship DVD. You have done a wonderful job of explaining the different ways of how to play the contemporary Christian songs of today. I’m just starting the Eighth and Sixteenth Note Feels Applied to Ballads section. I love the way you play “You Are Good.” And of course all of the other songs before that one. I really like the illustration of getting the hi-hat to line up with the metronome to make sure everything is in time and lining up perfectly. As a teacher this is something I stress to my students. As a worship drummer who is a lifetime student of the drums I will use these ideas and continue practicing along with you. I really like your teaching style and the way you explain the importance of playing well. You inspire me to continue improving both my playing and teaching skills. Thank-you for that.

I hope you, Paul, and the rest of the band have a great time in Edmonton. I pray that the Lord’s annointing will be upon you in a very special way. May the presence of the Lord work through all of you as you play and sing for Him.

    God Bless,

    John
